FRISCO, Texas (AP) -NCAA officials have selected Pizza Hut Park - a soccer-specific stadium that seats about 21,000 - as the site of the 2008 College Cup.

The stadium, which is home to FC Dallas, sits amid 17 soccer fields in suburban Dallas. Michael Hitchcock, general manager of the stadium and FC Dallas, said he will push for a relationship similar to the one the College World Series has with Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.

"We'd love for Frisco and Pizza Hut Park to become the permanent home of the College Cup," Hitchcock said.

This is the third time SMU, which has the only Division I men's soccer program in Texas, will play host to the College Cup. The 2001 women's final four and the 2002 men's final four were played at Ford Stadium on the SMU campus.
