Buckeyes Chosen in Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Seven former Ohio State men's lacrosse players were selected in the Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft Tuesday. The draft was held to fill out rosters, as MLL is expanding from a six to 10 team league. All-American and 2004 Great Western Lacrosse League Co-Player of the Year Greg Bice, a Buckeye from 2001-04, was selected by the Los Angeles Riptide with the first overall pick of the 220-player, 22-round draft.

Midfielder and two-time All-GWLL choice Pat Myers (2000-03), was the first pick in the second round, as he was chosen 11th by San Francisco. In round nine, midfielder Shaun Lyons (2001-04), an honorable mention All-American in 2004, was chosen by Philadelphia with the 86th pick. Attack Patrick Donohue (2000-03) was the 135th selection to New Jersey, followed by defenseman and 2002 All-GWLL First Team honoree John DiCamillo (1999-02) at No. 160 to Baltimore. Los Angeles selected midfielder Anthony Kelly (2000-03) at No. 174 and defenseman Jon Torpey (1997-00) was the 203rd selection to Denver.
