RedHawks Captain Ryan Jones named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Weekly honor comes after four-goal effort Friday night

OXFORD, Ohio - Senior captain Ryan Jones has been named the CCHA Offensive Player of the Week, as named by the conference office on Monday.

Jones scored four goals, all coming Friday night, and added two assists over the two game series, to help the RedHawks sweep Northern Michigan. Miami won Friday's game by a score of 9-2 and were able to come from behind to earn a 3-2 victory Saturday.

This marks the second consecutive week Jones has earned the Player of the Week honors.

Jones now has eight goals on the season, tying him with Michigan's Kevin Porter for the nation's lead in goals.
