Seventeen home games - including eight in the TD Banknorth Sports Center - highlight the 2006-07 schedule for the Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team. The Bobcats, entering their second season in the ECAC Hockey League, are scheduled to play their first game in the new facility on Jan. 28, 2007 against Holy Cross. Quinnipiac will also host Harvard and Yale in the opening week of action at the TD Banknorth Sports Center. As a reminder, all dates and times are still subject to change due to alterations in construction and television schedules.

The Bobcats will open the year on Oct. 6-7 with a two-game series at North Dakota. The Fighting Sioux won 29 games a season ago and reached the Frozen Four before falling to Boston College. It's the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

In all, Quinnipiac plays eight of its first 10 games away from home.

The home debut will be on Oct. 13-14 with a two-game set against Robert Morris at the Northford Ice Pavilion. Quinnipiac swept a two-game series against the Colonials last season.

From there, it's six in a row away from home for the Bobcats.

After an off-weekend, Quinnipiac will participate in the Capital District Classic on Oct. 28-29. Saturday's game will pit the Bobcats against Colgate. Sunday's game will pit the Bobcats against either RPI or Union. All games will be played at the Times Union Center in Albany and will be considered non-conference contests.

ECAC Hockey League action begins the weekend of Nov. 3-4, as Quinnipiac travels to Union on Friday and RPI on Saturday.

The Bobcats make the trip to New York's North Country the following weekend for games at Clarkson (Nov. 10) and St. Lawrence (Nov. 11).

Quinnipiac returns home on Nov. 17-18 for two games at the Northford Ice Pavilion. Colgate visits on Friday, while Cornell stops in for a Saturday contest.

On Thanksgiving weekend, the Bobcats play at Harvard on Friday (Nov. 24) and at Dartmouth on Saturday (Nov. 25).

After an off weekend, Quinnipiac concludes the fall semester with two home games at Northford. RPI visits on Friday (Dec. 8), while Union is in town the next night.

Following a 25-day break for the exams and the holidays, Quinnipiac resumes game action on Jan. 4 when RIT visits Northford in a non-league contest. The Bobcats defeated the Tigers three times in 2005-06.

ECACHL action resumes on Jan. 6 as Quinnipiac plays Princeton twice over the next four days. The Tuesday contest is at Princeton, while the Tigers visit Northford on Saturday, Jan. 9.

The Bobcats host Brown at Northford on Jan. 12 before traveling to New Haven the next evening for a road contest against Yale.

Two more non-league games are on tap the weekend of Jan. 19-20 when Quinnipiac travels to western New York for a pair at Niagara. The two teams split a pair of games in Northford last season.

Quinnipiac's first home game at the TD Banknorth Sports Center is on Sunday, January 28 against Holy Cross. The Crusaders reached the second round of the NCAA tournament last year after defeating top-seeded Minnesota in the opening round.

Harvard visits the TD Banknorth Center on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Three days later, Feb. 2, Yale makes its first trip to the new facility.

The Bobcats play at Brown on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Bentley visits Hamden for a non-league game on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Dartmouth visits three days later on Friday, Feb. 9 before American International visits on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the final non-league action of the year for the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac plays at Cornell (Feb. 16) and Colgate (Feb. 17) before closing the regular season at home against St. Lawrence (Feb. 23) and Clarkson (Feb. 24).

The opening round of the ECACHL playoffs will be held at higher seeds on March 2-4. The ECACHL quarterfinals are on March 9-11, also at higher seeds.

The ECACHL semifinals will again be held at the Times Union Center in Albany, on Friday, March 16. The championship game is the following evening.
