Sophomore Brian Boyle and freshman netminder Cory Schneider received both Hockey East honors for their respective performances last week. Boyle was named Player of the Week and Schneider received Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending on March 20 in an announcement made by the league office.
Boyle scored three of the Eagles' five goals on the weekend. Of the three, two came in the 3-1 victory over New Hampshire in the championship game. For his performance, he was subsequently named Tournament MVP. This is his first weekly honor this season.
Schneider stopped 65 of 67 shots over two games, including 39 of 40 in Friday's semifinal. He was the runner-up to Brian Boyle for MVP. He was named to the All-Tournament team following BC's championship victory.
The complete list of the All-Tournament team boasted three BC players: Boyle, Schneider and Andrew Alberts. Alberts scored the game-winner against Maine in double overtime.
Boyle was named Hockey East Player of the Week on March 21
