Stanford, Calif. - Stanford men's gymnastics coach Thom Glielmi announced that the Cardinal inked two recruits during the early signing period last week. Gregory Ter-Zakhariants and Bryant Hadden will join the Stanford men's gymnastics team next fall as members of the Class of 2009.
"We are extremely pleased and fortunate to have Greg and Bryant join the Stanford program," commented Glielmi. "They are both great athletes - very quick, very strong and very dynamic, but what sets these two apart is their ability to execute. It is a rare combination to have a gymnast with athleticism and presentation. They are able to make the most difficult elements look effortless."
Ter-Zakhariants, out of Westmont High School in Campbell, Calif., and Hadden, from Cypress-Fairbanks High School in Cypress, Texas, will both compete in the all-around at Stanford. Both have backgrounds with strong club teams, as Ter-Zakhariants is coached by Vince Miller of US Gymsports in Pleasanton and Bryant is coached by Tom Meadows of Cypress Academy in Cypress.
"They will add to an already young but strong team," added Glielmi.
