STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford has announced the hiring of J.D. Reive as the assistant men's gymnastics coach. Reive was an assistant coach with the Nebraska men's gymnastics team from 1997-2000, while also working with the boys team at the Nebraska School of Gymnastics. For the past two months, Reive has been a member of the camp staff at Woodward West.

He worked design stints at the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services and Security Financial Life Insurance Co. in Lincoln, Neb., from 1999-2001 before moving on to Pro Health Inc. in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Reive graduated from Nebraska in May of 2000 with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
