Fresno, Calif. - Senior Adam Hagen finished in second and fellow senior Casey Watabu finished tied for 16th to lead the Wolf Pack to a fifth-place finish in the 15-team field here Saturday at the Lexus Classic.

University of Denver won the tournament with a six-over 858. San Diego State finished in second with a 13-over 865, followed by the University of San Diego and host Fresno State, both at a 26-over 878. Nevada finished in fifth with a 29-over 881.

Nevada shot 294 and was in 10th after the first round but improved seven strokes with a 287, to tie for sixth following the second round. Nevada followed with a 300 on the third day, which was good enough to move them into fifth-place overall.

Charlie Soule of The University of Denver finished in first over the 54 holes, with a three-under 210, followed by University of Nevada's Adam Hagen, who shot a two-under 211.

Other Nevada scores were senior Casey Watabu at six-over 219 for a tie for 16th, junior Dustin Hall at 225 for a tie for 39th, freshman Matt Rippey at 229 for a tie for 61st, senior John Cassidy at 232 for a tie for 75th, and sophomore James Haban at 237 for a tie for 84th. Sophomore Chase Cooper played as an individual and shot 229 to tie for 61st in the 92-player field.
