"The strength of the field is by far the best of any tournament in the country and a testament to the event and the golf course," said UCF men's golf head coach Nick Clinard. "Tournament chairmen Jim English and Dick Nunis, director of athletics Keith Tribble, the Tavistock Group, the Central Florida Sports Commission and the staff at Isleworth have all been instrumental in the success of the event. We are all looking forward to a great tournament in October."
Last year,
Seven of the squads that will participate in the tournament finished in the top 15 at the NCAA Championship in the spring.
Originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, with a re-design by Steve Smyers in 2003, Isleworth is a par-72, 7,544-yard course.
Information on the tournament can be found at www.isleworthcollegiate.com. Available for players, coaches, sponsors and spectators, the site features tournament history, leaderboards, an interactive team map, course layout, spectator information and news stories.
