Ardmore, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's golf team is in sixth place in a field of 10 teams at The Maxwell. The Hurricane carded rounds of 274 and 276 for a 13-under par 550 total after the first two rounds at the par-70 Dornick Hills Country Club.

Michigan leads the field after a two-round total of 23-under par, followed by host Oklahoma State in second-place with a 2-under par 540 total. Oklahoma City (543), Wichita State (544) and Middle Tennessee State (547) round out the top-five teams.

Tulsa junior Nicolas Geyger carded a first day total of one-over par 141 after rounds of 72 and one-under par 69 and is in ninth place. Rob Laird sits in an eight-way tie for 21st place after shooting rounds of 73-71 for a four-over par 144.

Ryan Brooks carded a two-round total of 147 with rounds of 72 and 75 for 36th place. Freshman Villie Vaisanen and Philip Reiser are in 49th and 52nd place, respectively. Vaisanen had rounds of 74-76 for a 150 total, while Reiser was one-stroke back at 151 after shooting score of 75 and 76 today.

Michigan's Bill Rankin leads the tournament with a seven-under par 133 total, three strokes ahead of second-place Kevin Tway of Oklahoma State.

The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
