Tar Heels Shoot Sixteen-over in Final Round, Place Twelfth
Barden Berry was the top Tar Heel finisher with a one-over par 217 for the tournament.

HOLLY SPRINGS, NC - The University of North Carolina men's golf team fired a sixteen-over 304 in the final round at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate hosted by N.C. State. The Tar Heels were in 7th place to start the day, however fell to 12th place. Charlotte won the tournament by two strokes after shooting a four-under 284 in the final round, making them twelve-under for the tournament. Tulsa, who started the day in first, fired even par to finish in second place. Duke also shot even-par on the day and finished in third place. Vanderbilt and Georgia Southern finished at plus six in a tie for fourth.
Barden Berry was the top Tar Heel finisher shooting plus-five 77 in the final round making him plus one on the tournament. Berry tied for 17th. Martin Ureta and Reed Darsie both finished the tournament at eight-over par in a tie for 50th. David Holzworth shot 77 and finished ten-over in a tie for 57th. Robert Riesen fired his best round of the tournament, a 75, to finish plus fourteen and in a tie for 69th.
Tulsa's Mitch Cohlmia, who started the day tied for first with Charlotte's Jonas EnanderHedin, edged EnanderHedin by one stroke, shooting even par and was the top finisher at minus eight. EnanderHedin shot plus one on the day and finished second in the tournament. Tied for third, two strokes behind Cohlmia, was Vanderbilt's Luke List and Charlotte's Corey Nagy.
The two-day tournament was played at Devils Ridge Golf Club in Holly Springs, N.C.
