Harrison arraignment set for September

Fayetteville, AR (CSTV U-WIRE) -- Arkansas senior defensive end Marcus Harrison was assigned a Sept. 28 arraignment during his appearance in the Washington County Circuit Court, Monday.
Harrison was booked early Saturday morning after police found two cigars that tested positive for marijuana in his car and an Ecstasy pill in his pocket when stopped for speeding.
Harrison was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, speeding, driving with a restricted driver's license and not wearing a seat belt. He was also charged with failure to appear on a previous court date.
"After Friday's practice, I pulled them back into the team meeting room to say, 'Hey, we've had the perfect camp perfect scenario all summer, and let's end it that way," said Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt. "Right here before school starts, I think it's important that everybody keep making the right decisions. That was said about four hours before, so that's the most disappointing thing."
Nutt suspended Harrison indefinitely. Harrison, who had been named starting right defensive end Friday, will miss the Troy game.
Harrison has been rehabbing a torn anterior cruciate ligament since April but said he was ahead in his rehab and would be the starter if coaches and trainers felt he was ready against the Trojans.
Nutt said Harrison's indefinite suspension status is being upheld until more facts come into play. He said Harrison has not been allowed in team meetings or practice since his arrest.
"We've got to get more information on what's going on with the legal system," Nutt said. "Right now, I don't have any attention or any energy for decision-making time on that subject whatsoever."
New D-Mac site
Arkansas running back Darren McFadden's Heisman candidacy soared to a new level Monday as the UA launched 5DarrenMcFadden.com. Coincidentally, McFadden turned 20-years-old Monday, as well.
"The Web site is a great tool for people to learn more about Darren McFadden on and off the field," Arkansas coach Houston Nutt said in a release. "Everyone knows what an outstanding football player he is, but we also wanted people to get to know him as a person. The site is a fun way for fans to follow Darren and the Razorbacks throughout the season."
McFadden won last season's Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back and finished second to Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith in the Heisman Trophy voting. McFadden is near the top of most offensive award watch lists entering the season and has been tabbed by many as the Heisman front-runner in 2007.
