Prediction
Georgia is one of hottest teams right now and seem to have found a personality in Knowshon Moreno. Hawaii will score points and I think this will be one of the more entertaining games of bowl season. I don't think it's going to be a blowout at all because of the uniqueness of the offense. Georgia will win setting itself up for an important summer for Matthew Stafford. His continued growth could turn Georgia into a potential national champion.

Special Teams/Coaching
Hawaii has so much to play for because Boise State is viewed differently because of its win last year. And the same would happen to Hawaii. Remember, this is a program where Colt Brennan complained about not having soap in the showers. It's huge for the Hawaii program, huge for the WAC, but more importantly this is a huge game for Georgia. If Georgia went out and dominated Hawaii they'd start out No. 2 or 3 in the preseason polls. I'd give the coaching edge to June Jones because I think his offense is unique enough that he has an advantage. Georgia doesn't run into this kind of thing enough. I'm not grading on coaching ability. From a competitive standpoint, Jones is in a better position

Hawaii O vs. Georgia D
The fun in this game will be seeing Georgia trying to cover the Hawaii receivers. If you're not careful that Hawaii offense can take your aggressiveness away from you. They do a great job of getting rid of the ball quickly and Georgia probably won't be able to muster much of a pass rush. It's really frustrating as a defender to play against an offense like that when you're pass rushing every play. It's tiring. Pass rushing every down is the hardest thing you can do. You have to give Colt Brennan different looks, have to jam the wide outs at the line of scrimmage. You can't let them run free. Redirect their routes. So much of their offense is about timing and throwing to spaces. If you allow Colt Brennan to run things like it's seven on seven, you're going to be in for a long day. Force him to think every play.

Georgia O vs. Hawaii D
We've enjoyed watching Colt Brennan and his wide receivers work, but we've overlooked how good Hawaii's defense has played. Maybe not in comparison to the top defenses in college football, but I think in general. Hawaii may not have the speed on the outside, but they play hard and they're fairly effective. One of the question marks with Georgia at the beginning of the season was the offensive line, but they have really come together and almost become a dominant offensive line opening holes for Knowshon Moreno. I'd like to see Matthew Stafford have a higher passing percentage. You'd think through play action his percentage would be higher.

Prediction
I think Hawaii's going to win because they're going to come in with a lot of incentive. Not that Georgia doesn't have incentive, because they do, but Hawaii is not only playing for themselves and playing for conference overall just like Boise State last year and Utah a few years ago vs. Pitt. They're the only undefeated team in Division I-A and they're not even mentioned as far as playing for the national title. If they can get a victory that's going to propel that conference, that university, and maybe next year or the year after that the conference will start to get some recognition and respect. And maybe if one of their members goes undefeated again they'll get that chance at the national title.

Special Teams/Coaching
June Jones has been successful in the pros and now he's been successful at Hawaii. I know it's the WAC, but they're still winning games. Mark Richt has done a phenomenal job at Georgia, and while he hasn't gotten that elusive national championship ring yet, he's still a great coach. I'd say it's about even considering Jones has that NFL experience.

Hawaii O vs. Georgia D
For Hawaii, it's all about the passing game, 450 yards per game, one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country, Colt Brennan is an extremely accurate quarterback. He's been banged up a little bit, but has gotten some big victories for his football team. The problem they're going to have is with their running game. Yeah, Hawaii can put some pressure on the secondary, but Georgia's front four have been putting a ton of pressure on people. Hawaii needs to be able to run the ball and they can't. If that's not going to get it done, they're going to have to have some stellar pass protection to keep the Dawgs from chomping on Brennan all night long. But those three receivers for Hawaii, all over 1,000 yards receiving, will be tough duty for Georgia. The Bulldogs have seen a somewhat similar offense to Hawaii's in Kentucky.

Georgia O vs. Hawaii D
We have another hot team in Georgia who has been rolling since they beat Florida and that loss to Tennessee. The key is stopping Knowshon Moreno. He and Thomas Brown are back and those guys have been thrashing defenses left and right. I think if you look at Hawaii's sack total you'll see they can put pressure on the quarterback. Some will say just look at the competition they've played, but hey, they played Washington, a physically Fresno State team and a Boise State team that beat Oklahoma last year. If they want to get to Matthew Stafford the key is stopping Moreno and Brown. They've got to stop the running game first.

Prediction
Georgia lost to South Carolina and got thumped by Tennessee and then got its groove with a rousing victory over Florida. Hawaii comes in undefeated and is playing their best football at the right time. They knocked off three legitimate opponents in a row and could definitely make some noise in the right situation. Unfortunately, Georgia is not the right situation..... Hawaii isn't bad... but Georgia is real good.

Special Teams/Coaching
Another two coaches who I'm really fond of. June Jones comes from the pros and runs a very high flying run and shoot system. His managing style is kind of like Steve Spurrier light. Mark Richt remains one of the most underrated coaches in the nation. Consistently getting his squad into the top 2-3 of the SEC. He'll have an answer for Colt Brennan and June Jones.

Georgia O vs. Hawaii D
They gave up 44 points to La. Tech.... what do you think Knowshown Moreno and Matthew Stafford are going to do to them? I know its unfair to look at the beginning of the season, and Hawaii will fly around to the ball a little bit, but this will be by far the biggest and strongest attack they have seen all year. By the third quarter Hawaii's defense will be begging for a break and Knowshown will start piling it on.

Hawaii O vs. Georgia D
Georgia's best defense will be ball control because its defense is a mediocre unit for the SEC. They have been prone to some big plays and lapses in concentration and that is what Brennan excels on. I really like Davone Bess who reminds me a little bit of T.J. Houshmandzadeh when he was tearing up Notre Dame and the Pac-10 years ago for the Oregon State Beavers. Hawaii should put up some points, but if they get stopped once that might be too many.
