Illinois' Rose Bowl Tickets Sell Out In 30 Minutes

3,000 tickets sold at record pace

The University of Illinois Athletic Ticket Office announced at 9:30 a.m. that the remaining 3,000 tickets to the 2008 Rose Bowl that went on sale this morning at 9 a.m. are sold out. In all, 26,000 Rose Bowl tickets have been purchased over the last six days. The school originally received an allotment of 25,000 tickets, but was able to acquire an additional 1,000 tickets Monday afternoon.

A total of 23,000 tickets were purchased by I FUND members, season ticket holders and student season ticket holders last week, with the remaining 3,000 going on sale to the general public Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

Tickets will be shipped via UPS overnight delivery between Dec. 12 and 18.
