Indiana and Purdue alums will gather on Thursday for the Old Oaken Bucket Luncheon in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana and Purdue University alumni will come together for a friendly luncheon to celebrate the historic college football match-up between the two schools. The Annual Old Oaken Bucket Luncheon presented by Fifth Third Bank will be held at the downtown Columbia Club on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at www.indysportsfoundation.com.
Don Fischer, voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, and Joe McConnell, voice of Purdue Football, are the featured speakers. Bob Lovell, host of Indiana Sports Talk, is the master of ceremonies. The luncheon fundraiser is organized by the Indy Sports Foundation. The non-profit Indy Sports Foundation raises money for amateur athletic organizations. A sell-out crowd of 300 attended in 2007 that included 50 former Purdue and IU players and coaches.
Alumni groups sponsoring the event are the John Purdue Club, Well House Society, IU Varsity Club, IU "I" Foundation, Purdue Alumni Association of Indianapolis, IU Alumni Association.
