Deadline to Renew Football Season Tickets set for Monday, July 7

Current Season Ticket Holders Have Until Monday, July 7 to Renew Tickets

Black Bear football season ticket holders may assure their current seat location by renewing their tickets prior to the Monday, July 7 deadline. Tickets can be renewed at the Black Bear ticket office located in the Alfond Arena lobby. Ticket office hours are 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. For more information call 581-BEAR.

The Black Bears have a slate of six games this fall at Harold Alfond Sports Stadium. Maine kicks off the 2008 home schedule with a Sept. 13 match-up versus Stony Brook. Kickoff is set for 6pm. Following the contest there will be a free fireworks display. The Black Bears return to Orono for the second home game of the season on Sept. 27 when they take on Colonial Athletic Association rival James Madison. Kickoff is set for 6pm. The Dukes are rated in the top 10 nationally in numerous preseason polls. The Sept. 27 contest will also be Friends and Family/First Year Students Day. The Black Bears begin a three week home stand beginning on Oct. 18 when Hofstra visits Alfond Sports Stadium. Oct. 18 will be military appreciation day. Members of the military and their families will be honored prior to the 3pm kickoff. CAA rival Northeastern will be the homecoming opponent on Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 12pm. The Black Bears take a break from CAA play the following week when they take on Iona. Kickoff for the Nov. 1 contest is set for 12pm. Maine will be celebrating youth day on Nov.1. That day the Black Bears will also participate in the NCAA Take a Kid to the Game Day promotion. Rounding out the 2008 home schedule is arch-rival New Hampshire. The Black Bears and Wildcats will kickoff at 12pm on Nov. 22 in a battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket.

Prior to the start of the season the Black Bears will host their annual fan day Alfond Sports Stadium on Wednesday, August 20.

Individual game tickets for the 2008 home schedule will be released to the public on Monday, August 4.
