GRAMBLING, La. (AP) - Grambling State football coach Rod Broadway has completed his staff, hiring Jay Davis to oversee quarterbacks and Sam Washington to coach defensive backs.

Davis spent last season at the same position as a graduate assistant at North Carolina State, where he saw time as a passer from 2003-05.

Washington, a 19-year coaching veteran, was a long-time former coach at North Carolina Central, Broadway's most recent stop. He has also worked as a defensive assistant at Johnson C. Smith University, Bethune-Cookman College and, through last season, at Mississippi Valley State as defensive coordinator.
