Jan. 19, 2007

ATLANTA (AP) - After interviewing for NFL coaching jobs in Pittsburgh and Miami, Chan Gailey said Friday he's staying at Georgia Tech.

A former assistant for both NFL teams, Gailey has been Georgia Tech coach since 2002. This past season, he guided the Yellow Jackets to an Atlantic Coast Conference division title, but the 9-5 season ended with three straight three-point defeats. Georgia Tech lost to rival Georgia for the sixth year in a row, fell to Wake Forest in the ACC championship game and dropped the Gator Bowl to West Virginia.
