NFL Draft Early Entrants

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville linebacker Lamar Myles will skip his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

Myles led the Cardinals with 128 tackles during his junior year and was a second-team All-Big East selection, one of the few standouts on a defense that struggled during a disappointing 6-6 season.

Myles recorded double-digit tackles in six games, including a career-high 22 in a loss to Kentucky. Myles also ended 2007 with eight tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

"The time is right for me to move on to the NFL," Myles said Friday. "The coaching staff helped me improve as a player and I look forward to competing in the NFL."

Myles is the second Cardinal to declare early entry for the draft, joining wide receiver Mario Urrutia.
