Sources tell CSTV that Tennessee could announce on Tuesday the hiring of University of Richmond head coach Dave Clawson as the new offensive coordinator, replacing David Cutcliffe. Clawson interviewed in Knoxville on Monday.
Clawson guided the Spiders to the FCS semifinals this past season where they lost to eventual national champion Appalachian State. Clawson was named the 2002 I-AA Coach of the Year and had previously been the offensive coordinator with Villanova.
Cutcliffe, the former Ole Miss head coach, left the Vols to take the head coach position at Duke.
