WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Ticker) -- No. 4 Wake Forest expects to have little trouble when it hosts North Carolina A&T for the third straight year.
Since suffering their only loss to Illinois, the Demon Deacons have won five in a row, including an 81-64 victory over New Mexico on December 21.
Chris Paul scored 23 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers for Wake Forest, which grabbed a season-high 34 offensive rebounds while holding the Lobos to 38 percent shooting.
Justin Gray, who scored 17 points against New Mexico, needs 12 to become the 42nd player in school history to reach 1,000 in his career.
Wake Forest is undefeated against Mideastern Athletic Conference teams in 12 outings and has won 44 of its last 45 home games against non-conference opponents.
The Aggies were beaten by Tulane, 73-54 on December 21, extending their losing streak to six games. They are led by Sean Booker, who averages 18.9 points.
Coach Jerry Eaves has lost 35 of his 39 games with the Aggies over the past two seasons.
