BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -Karon Bradley scored six points in the final 2 minutes to give 24th-ranked Wichita State a 57-53 victory against sixth-ranked LSU on Saturday.
Bradley, a senior who sat out last season after transferring from Marquette, gave the Shockers (4-0) their first lead of the game at 52-50 with 1:47 remaining in the game.
The Tigers (2-1) came up empty on their next two possessions when Garrett Temple and Tasmin Mitchell missed 3-point attempts. Bradley made two free throws with 23 seconds left to give Wichita State a 54-50 lead.
After Darnell Lazare made a basket to bring LSU within two, Bradley made another pair of free throws with 13 seconds left. Dameon Mason made one of two free throws for the Tigers, but Sean Ogirri clinched the victory for the Shockers by sinking one of two foul shots with 6 seconds to go.
Bradley, who finished with 11 points, was one of five players in double figures for Wichita State. Ryan Martin led the Shockers with 12 points, while P.J. Couisnard had 11. Kyle Wilson and Phillip Thomasson each had 10.
Glen Davis led LSU with 17 points. Lazare ended with 11 points, but no other LSU player had more than seven.
LSU had a 29-23 halftime advantage primarily on the strength of its defense during a 7-minute stretch in the opening part of the game.
