ABBOTSFORD, BC - Forward Grant Dykstra (Jr., Everson/Lynden Christian) led four Western Washington University double-figure scorers with 14 points as the Vikings defeated Trinity Western University, 77-59, in an exhibition men's basketball game Friday at M.E.I. Secondary School.

Guard Ryan Diggs (Jr., Victorville, CA/Silverado) and forward Darrell Visser (Jr., Lynden) each scored 12 points for the Vikings, and forward Craig Roosendaal (Sr., Shoreline/King's) had 10 points.

Western, which led 38-26 at halftime, also got nine points and nine rebounds from forward Tyler Amaya (Jr., Mount Vernon), a transfer from Dixie College UT.

Trailing 24-23 with five minutes left in the first half, the Vikings scored 15 unanswered points to break the game open.

Trinity Western got a game-high 18 points from Adam Friesen, and Logan Kitteringham had 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Western continues its weekend series in Canada with games at University of British Columbia on Saturday (6 p.m.) and Simon Fraser University on Sunday (4 p.m.).
