UCI head coach Pat Douglass is the program's career leader in wins.
July 23, 2008
The UC Irvine men's basketball program and Panera Bread are teaming together for the first annual "UC Irvine Men's Basketball Coaches' Tour."
From Aug. 4 through Sept. 12, UCI head coach Pat Douglass and his staff will be visiting campus and community organizations to provide insight into the Anteater program.
The staff feels that as UCI Intercollegiate Athletics grows, it is increasingly important to offer personal contact with the community. UCI Basketball offers high-level NCAA Division I competition in a great collegiate environment that is family-friendly, easily accessible and affordable.
Coach Douglass, in his 12th year guiding the program, is UCI's all-time leader in wins with 171. Coming off a year where UCI had an 11-1 record in the Bren Events Center and made its first appearance in the Big West Tournament championship game since 1994, excitement is high for the Anteaters entering the 2008-09 season.
This is a great chance for fans to hear about the exciting group of recruits entering the program and how UCI will stack up against quality opponents such as Oregon and Utah at home, and USC on the road!
