Charoy Bentley is Added to Hawks' Recruiting Class
Connecticut guard will join SJU in the fall.

PHILADELPHIA - Connecticut scholastic basketball standout Charoy Bentley has signed a commitment to attend Saint Joseph's in the fall, it was announced by head coach Phil Martelli. He will join Idris Hilliard (Roselle, NJ/The Hun School) in the Hawks' recruiting class of 2007.
Bentley, a 6-0 guard from Bridgeport, CT, averaged 21 points per game in a three-year career as a starting guard at Harding High School. He tallied 1,600 career points and was a three-time Super 15 All-Star by the Connecticut Post.
Bentley, who played for his father Charlie, averaged 25 points his senior season.
As a junior, the guard averaged 22.0 ppg to help Harding to a 20-0 record and the FCIAC championship. He was named the MVP by the Connecticut Post that season.
