Paulius Packevicius has signed a three-year contract with Italian Lega2's Fastweb Casale Monferrato.

Paulius Packevicius, who concluded his playing career at Rice University this season, has signed a three-year contract to play for Fastweb Casale Monferrato. The team plays in the Italian professional league, Italian Lega2.

Packevicius' senior season was cut short by a knee injury midway through Conference USA play. At the time of his injury in late January, he was leading C-USA in rebounding, averaging 9.8 rebounds per game and was coming off a 16-point, 20-rebound game against Houston.

For the year he averaged 11.1 points and 1.3 blocks per game.

Fastweb Casale Monferrato is the professional team located in the town of Casale Monferrato which is in the northwest Italy's Piedmont region. The team's 2007-08 roster included Americans Taquan Dean who played collegiately at Louisville and Donte Mathis, who played at Texas State.
