According to FoxSports.com, Wright State University associate head men's basketball coach Billy Donlon has been named one of the Top Ten mid-major assistant coaches in the nation.

"Billy is certainly deserving of this honor," WSU head coach Brad Brownell said. "He is truly one of the bright, young coaches in college basketball and we are fortunate to have him at WSU. Billy has been an integral part of our success at UNC Wilmington and now here at Wright State.

The story, written by FoxSports.com columnist Jeff Goodman, cited votes from more than 450 head coaches, assistant coaches and others that deal with assistant coaches on a regular basis. Donlon has worked under head coach Brad Brownell for the past six seasons, including the last two at Wright State.

"It's an honor to be recognized by your peers, Donlon said. "I have been very fortunate to work for one of the best basketball coaches in the country in Coach Brownell. The recognition that I have received is a product of being associated with great players and coaches."
