Maryland senior forward Travis Garrison and his teammate Nik Caner-Medley have withdrawn from school to focus on preparing for their professional basketball careers, which head Gary Williams confirmed according the Baltimore Sun.

Both Garrison and Caner-Medley have chosen workout venues in Tampa, Fla. and Chicago, respectively, to prepare for the NBA pre-draft camp in June. Their former teammate Chris McCray withdrew from classes at the University of Maryland last month after being declared academically ineligible and has been working out in Houston.

Williams emphasized that the Terps still met the NCAA's Academic Progress Rate, but expressed his hope that both players would eventually finish their degrees.

Caner-Medley finished the season as the Terps' leading scorer with 15.3 points per game, while Garrison was a ten-game starter and reliable rebounder for Williams' squad.
