ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Johnny Gray scored 18 points and Christian Maraker had 12 points and five assists to lead Pacific to a 68-57 victory over Cal Poly in the Big West Conference Tournament semifinals Friday night.
Mike Webb added 11 points and Michael White had 10 points and six rebounds for the top-seeded Tigers (23-7), who will play No. 3 seed Long Beach State for the conference title Saturday night. The 49ers beat second seed UC Irvine 75-73 in Friday night's other semifinal.
Titus Shelton scored a career-high 19 points and Derek Stockalper had 15 points for the fourth-seeded Mustangs (10-19).
The score was tied at 55 when Pacific put the game away with an 11-0 run that put the Tigers ahead 66-55 with 40.1 seconds to play.
Pacific's Anthony Esparza played a crucial role during the run, grabbing three defensive rebounds and making a steal.
The Tigers were ahead 51-40, and appeared to be cruising to victory with 11:41 to play, when Cal Poly went on a 12-0 run led by Shelton with six points.
