No. 1 seeded Hornets advance to Saturday's final

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Jahsha Bluntt scored 20 points to lead Delaware State to a 63-51 victory over South Carolina State on Friday in the semifinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament.

The No. 1 seeded Hornets (20-12) advance to Saturday's final, where they will face the winner of the Norfolk State-Hampton University semifinal match.

Darren Shine, who hit on 3-of-4 from the field and made all six of his free throws, added 14 points for Delaware State, and Troy Roundtree scored 13. Bluntt was 3-for-3 on 3-point attempts.

Derrick Davis and William Sago each scored 12 points for the No. 4 seed Bulldogs (14-16).

Delaware State led 26-23 at halftime.
