CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland-Baltimore County basketball coach Tom Sullivan was placed on indefinite paid administrative leave.

He did not accompany the team to Boston for Friday night's America East tournament game against Stony Brook, school spokesman Charles Rose said.

The school called the decision a "private personnel issue" but declined further comment. A message left by The Associated Press at Sullivan's office wasn't immediately returned.

Assistant Randy Monroe was named acting head coach through the end of the season, sports information director Steve Levy said.
