The Big Ten has needed an influx of talent and received just that this fall as it signed 18 Top 100 talents, and one of the nation's top five JUCO talents. This talent influx affected the majority of teams in the conference. Six schools added two or more Top 100 talents, and two others added at least one from that elite group as well.
Make no mistake, the Big Ten has needed a year like this and should see some real benefit from the Class of 2007 next season. The quartet of classes at the top here rate among our top dozen nationally and give the Big Ten a solid foundation to make a run this spring at the ACC for the top spot in conference recruiting. A number of the fall signees will have an immediate impact next fall.
