EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Stefon Jackson scored 41 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead UTEP to a 91-62 win over East Carolina on Saturday night.

Jackson hit 21 of his 27 free-throw attempts, and was 9 of 19 from the floor. Marvin Kilgore and Randy Culpepper scored 11 apiece for the Miners (16-9, 7-5 Conference USA).

UTEP led 37-26 at the half before opening up a 32-point lead in the second half.

John Field was the only double-digit scorer for East Carolina (8-17, 2-10) with 13 points.

The Miners shot 50 percent from the field to the Pirates' 29 percent.

UTEP outscored the Pirates 42-14 in the paint.
