Iona Falls to 0-20 With Loss To Loyola (Md.)

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -Iona dropped to 0-20 on Saturday, falling 71-61 to Loyola of Maryland in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game

Gerald Brown scored 25 points for Loyola (12-8, 8-2). The Greyhounds held Iona to one field goal in a 9-minute stretch late in the first half and early in the seond.

Kevin Hassett scored 14 points, and Milan Prodanovic added 12 points and six rebounds for Iona. The Gaels fell to 0-10 in conference play with their 21st straight loss dating to last season.

The Gaels, who won 23 games last season and advanced to the NCAA tournament as the conference champion, have nine regular-season games remaining, including two with St. Peter's (3-16).
