AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's basketball senior Brennan Martin (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) has been declared academically ineligible for the second semester of the 2004-05 season, effective immediately. Martin will remain enrolled at the university, but will not participate with the men's basketball team.

Martin played in 72 games in his UMass career (2001-05). He scored 158 points (2.2 points per game average) in his career making 42 three-point field goals. This season, he saw action in six games scoring six points (1.0 ppg).
