The former English teacher, who is as comfortable quoting Cervantes and Shakespeare and writing poetry in his flawless cursive, unquestionably is the greatest college basketball coach of all time, having led UCLA to 10 national championships in 12 seasons, including seven consecutive titles from 1967 to 1973.
