A 2008 NEIBA All-New England selection and member of last year's Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, Boyce turned in a 4-1 record and recorded five saves this season. Over 30.1 innings (18 appearances) this year, he posted a 0.89 earned run average and limited opponents to a .179 batting average.

Boyce currently ranks second all-time at URI with 11 career saves and has averaged 10.21 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. This year alone, he allowed just 19 hits, six walks and three earned runs while striking out 36 batters and closing out the season with 15.2 consecutive scoreless innings from April 11-May 22.

In Boyce's final outing this year, the Rhody righty threw two no-hit innings and got the Rams out of an eighth inning bases-loaded no-out jam with the tying run on first base, helping lead the team to an 11-4 upset of top-seeded Xavier.

Rhode Island finished its 2008 campaign with an overall record of 31-27-1 and tallied more victories than any other Division I team in New England.
