MIAMI WELCOMES PURDUE AND XAVIER FOR WEEKDAY CONTESTS: The Boilermakers and Musketeers come to Oxford this week for two mid-week contests against Miami. The RedHawks and Boilermakers take the field at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, before the RedHawks and Musketeers square off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16. Following Miami's two weekday games, the RedHawks travel to Buffalo for a three-game series April 18-20 against the Bulls.

ABOUT THE BOILERMAKERS: Purdue enters the week with a 17-15 overall record, but an impressive 9-3 record in the Big Ten. While Ben Wolgamot leads the team with a .443 batting average, Dan Black is the Boilermaker's leading power hitter and run producer. Black has a team-best six home runs and he has driven in a team-high 35 RBIs. The Boilermakers boast a team batting average of .297.

ABOUT THE MUSKETEERS: Xavier has confidence coming into the week after taking two of three games from nationally-ranked UNC-Charlotte last weekend. Four Musketeer batters post a batting average over .350, led by Bobby Freking's .361 average. Zac Richard is slightly behind Freking with a .360 average, but he has five round-trippers and a team-leading 33 RBIs.

NO. SEVEN MAKES IT SEVEN: No. 7 for the RedHawks, junior Jordan Petraitis, extended his hitting streak to seven games after collecting hits in all five of Miami's games last week. In last week's contests, Petraitis went 10-for-21 from the plate (.471) with seven RBIs, including going 4-for-6 from the plate with four RBIs in Miami's series finale against Central Michigan on April 13. The RedHawk shortstop owned a slugging percentage of .619 and an on base percentage of .577.

MAC-NIFICIENT FRESHMAN: Despite struggling on the mound in non-conference action, freshman Samuel Dawes has been lights out coming out of the bullpen in Mid-American Conference action this season. In six appearances in conference action, the freshman southpaw has given up just one earned run in 13 2/3 innings. In MAC-only contests, Dawes ranks first in the conference in ERA (0.66), first in appearances (6), second in opponent's batting average (.170) and ninth in strikeouts (7.90 SO/G).

CIRCLING THE BASES: Before Sunday, April 6, junior Chris Nadeau was known as one of Miami's top hitters, but the Saline, Mich. native had not hit a home run in his Miami career. Against Western Michigan on April, 6, Nadeau blasted his first home run of his Miami career and he has been swinging a hot bat ever since. Over the past six games, Nadeau is hitting .393, with two doubles, seven RBIs and he boasts a slugging percentage of .679. As he hit his first home run three seasons into his Miami career, it only took him only three days to hit the second home run of his career as he hit a towering home run down the right field line in Miami's 11-4 win over Indiana on Wednesday, April 9.

H-EATON' UP: Going 5-for-13 from the plate in a three-game series over Central Michigan, freshman Adam Eaton posted the second best batting average (.385) of any RedHawk over the weekend. While all of his five hits were singles, Eaton hit to all parts of the field, including an infield bunt single.

RACKING UP THE AWARDS: Through seven weeks of the season, five RedHawk players have been named MAC East Division Player or Pitcher of the Week and two players have been named to an all-tournament team. Junior Chris Nadeau is a two-time MAC East Division Player of the Week and he also was named to the DeMarini Invitational all-tournament team. Senior Matt Erwood was most recently named the MAC East Division Pitcher of the week and he also joined Nadeau on the DeMarini Invitational all-tournament team. Juniors Blake Chaffee and Jordan Petraitis have also been named MAC East Division Player of the Week this season, while senior pitcher Chris Niro was named MAC East Division Pitcher of the Week Feb. 26.
