CHARLOTTESVILLE - Starting with the Virginia baseball team's home series against ACC rival Georgia Tech April 13-15, approximately 300 outfield bleacher seats will be added to Davenport Field for the remainder of the season. The new seating section will be located behind the left field wall. The additional seats increase the capacity at Davenport Field to 2,616.

Logistical challenges prevent the additional seating from being added in time for this weekend's home ACC series with Duke.

All seats in the outfield bleachers will be priced as general admission tickets. Single-game tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth, seniors, faculty and staff and available at virginiasports.com or by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 or 434-924-8821.

"The support we have received from the community has been exceptional and we are excited to allow even more fans the opportunity to watch our team play," said Virginia baseball head coach Brian O'Connor. "I really appreciate the efforts that have been made by our staff and administration to enhance the exciting experience at our home games."

With Virginia's Spring Football Festival scheduled for Saturday, April 14, fans are urged to purchase their tickets for the Georgia Tech, and all other future home games in advance by either calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office or purchasing on-line at Virginiasports.com. The Yellow Jackets enter this weekend's ACC play tied with Virginia for first place in the Coastal Division, sporting a 20-11 overall mark, including seven straight wins.

Starting with this weekend's (April 6-8) series with Duke, Virginia will host 16 homes games over the next six weeks, including ACC series with Georgia Tech (April 13-15), Maryland (April 27-29) and NC State (May 11-13).

Gates open two hours prior to each home game.
