The Citadel baseball will make a trip to North Charleston on Tuesday, April 4 to face cross-town rival Charleston Southern at Buccaneer Field at 3 p.m. for their second showdown of the season. The two met earlier this year as the Dogs defeated the Bucs, 8-5, at Riley Park on March 14.

Freshman starter Wes Wrenn allowed two runs in the first on Friday, but settled in to hold the Spartans scoreless for the remainder of the contest to earn his first collegiate complete game. Senior Tripp Cappelmann also blasted his first career round-tripper and tied a personal best three RBI in the 7-2 win.

The Dogs fell, 3-2, on Saturday after only registering three hits. The Citadel offense came back to life on Sunday as the Cadets downed the Spartans, 9-5. Sophomore Chris Swauger and freshman Sonny Meade were responsible for six of the Dogs' nine runs as Swauger knocked in four and Meade smashed his first collegiate home run to score two.
