Omaha, Neb. - InsidePitching.com has named Charlotte senior Adam Mills as its Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week. Mills, who won the award in week two, pitched yet another gem in a dominating performance over 2006 Atlantic Ten Champion St. Louis. Mills scattered six hits, while issuing just one free pass and collecting twelve strikeouts. This marks the fifth time he has struck out twelve or more batters in a game this season, registering 80 punchouts for the season. This is also the third time that the Charlotte 49ers have won the Southeast Regional Performance of the Week award.

The Big Pool, Md. native was the A-10 strikeout champion a year ago, reaching 111 for the season, fourth-best in team history for one season. Mills' win on Friday tied him with Brannon Player for third place all-time in Charlotte career wins with 24. He also passed Player to take fourth place in career innings pitched, with 325.2 career frames. Mills is eight strikeouts away from passing former Niner All-American Tim Collie for third on the career strikeouts list.
