On Tuesday, March 23rd, CollegeBaseballInsider.com released its weekly Northeast Region Coaches Poll - a listing of the top 15 teams in the Northeast Region. The Villanova baseball team was ranked No. 9 in this week's poll - dropping two spots for last week's poll despite not playing last week due to the inclement weather. Teams point values are determined by the voting coach's rankings, with 15 points awarded for first place, and point values that descend by one point for each place away from first.

The Wildcats are currently 13-5 overall on the season through 18 games - a seven-game improvement from the 6-12 mark they had through 18 games last year.

Villanova gets back into action on Wednesday, March 24th, hosting the Temple Owls (6-6) at 3:00 p.m., at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth.
