WASHINGTON, DC - Senior Dave Azari (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) was named Performer of the Week, the Atlantic 10 announced on September 22, 2003. He finished second out of 54 runners at the James Madison Invitational on Saturday, September 20 in order to receive the honor.

Azari led the team to a second place finish on the day and finished the 8K course in 25:53.50. This finish followed up a victory at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational the previous Saturday, in which he led the Colonials to a fourth place finish, but just eight points behind the tournament winner.

Azari and the rest of the Colonials will host their lone home meet of the season, the George Washington Invitational, at Bull Run Park in Centreville, VA on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m.
