The Lipscomb Lady Bisons cross country team finished third over the weekend in the Powerade Opener at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Susan Worden led the way for the Lady Bisons, covering the two-mile course in 11:55. The Lady Bisons placed three runners in the top 10 with Elizabeth Schall finishing seventh with a time of 12:02 and Samantha Wood in ninth with a time of 12:07.
Shannon Shoemake was 16th (12:28) and Paige Griffin was 19th at 12:44.
Rounding out the times for the Lady Bisons were Anna Day in 22nd place (12:46), Carolyn Latham in 24th (12:50), Julie Alley at 30th (13:01), Amanda Tanner in 35th place (13:18), Erin Pyles in 36th (13:23) and Rachel Snider in the 39th spot with a time of 13:36.
The host University of Tennessee-Chattanooga won the event. Samford was second. Auburn University finished fourth followed by Middle Tennessee State University in fifth and Tennessee State in sixth.
