2007 NAIA Preseason Women's Cross Country Top 25 Poll Announced

Simon Fraser (B.C.) Starts On Top of Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Simon Fraser University (B.C.) women's cross country captured its fourth consecutive National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship in 2006 and will begin the 2007 season as the leader in the polls. The Clan earn the No. 1 spot in the 2007 NAIA Preseason Top 25 ranking by totaling 175 points, including four first-place votes.

SFU edged out Concordia University (Calif.) which totaled 172 points including two first-place votes. 2006 runner-up Cedarville University (Ohio) enters the season ranked third followed by Black Hills State University (S.D.) at No. 4 and Milligan College (Tenn.) rounds out the top 5.

The first regular season Top 25 poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
