IZMIR, Turkey- Ryan Hayden, class of 2005, finished 11th in the 1500m run at the World University Games in Izmir, Turkey on Thursday, August 18.

Hayden, a native Canadian, ran the event in 3:54.34 last Thursday after qualifying for the final on Tuesday, August 16. In the third semifinal on Tuesday, he finished sixth in his heat with a time of 3:45.41.

The top three in each heat as well as the next three fastest qualified for the finals.

Hayden was a two-time NCAA Champion as well as a BIG EAST Champion and an All-American while running at Villanova.
