Khadija Talley finished 14th at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the shot put.

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Miami’s Khadija Talley finished in 14th place in the shot put at the U.S. Olympic Trials at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, just two spots away from advancing to the final round.
Talley, who graduated from Miami in May, hit a mark of 15.74m, her second best showing of the season.
Talley leaves Miami as the school record holder in the discus with a throw of 57.10m, and was a two-time ACC Champion is the discus. She currently is second on the list for the shot put at 17.02m.

Former Hurricanes Lauryn Williams and Wyllesheia Myrick will be running in Friday’s qualifying round of the 200-meter dash. There are five heats in the qualifying round, the top four finishers plus the next four best times move on to the quarterfinals, held Saturday at 11:50 a.m.
This past Sunday, Williams earned a spot on the Olympic Team with a third-place finish in the 100-meters.
