INDIANAPOLIS, IN - For the past four seasons Minnesota State's Jim Dilling has been one of the most dominant high jumpers in NCAA Division II, winning four national collegiate titles (two indoors and two outdoors).

Dilling proved again he belonged in another echelon when he cleared 7'-5.25" to win the 2007 USA Track & Field national outdoor high jump championship.

This year's meet is being held at Carroll Stadium at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

Dilling, a Fond du Lac, Wis., native who recently completed his illustrious collegiate career as a five-time All-American, downed a field that included defending national champion Tora Harris, current NCAA Division I champion Scott Sellers of Kansas State, 2006 NCAA Division I champion Jesse Williams and Jamie Nieto, who won USA titles in 2003 and 2004.

Today Dilling finished ahead of four competitors who cleared 7"-4.25" - Nieto (Nike), Williams (Nike), Adam Shunk (Nike) and Keith Moffatt (unattached). Harris (Asics) was sixth at 7'-3".

Another MSU student-athlete - Katelin Rains (Spring Lake Park, Minn.), made her debut at the USA national outdoor meet and no-heighted in the pole vault.
