The Iowa men's indoor track and field team competed in the University of Northern Iowa Panther Classic today. Also competing at the UNI-Dome were athletes from Wisconsin, Iowa State, Cloud County Community College, Drake, North Dakota State University, South Dakota-State University, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Derrick Burks was the lone champion for the Iowa team. He set the mark for the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.83. Five Hawkeye men set new collegiate marks today in their respective events: Burks, Jordan Crosby, Steve Ketels, Shane Maier, and Max Milder.

The men's team will compete in the Cyclone Invitations hosted by Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
