HANOVER, N.H. -- Emanuel Parris of the University of Sherbrooke set a meet record in the men's 60 meter dash Sunday, highlighting the third and final day of action at the 37th annual Dartmouth Relays.

Parris ran 6.80 in the semi-finals, breaking David Pedneault's mark of 6.84 set last year. Pedneault competed for Perfmax-Racing. Parris false-started in the finals, and teammate Emmanuel Montreuil-Jean-Pois won in 6.93.

A pair of Dartmouth runners was third and fourth. Junior Fatih Stanley (North York, Ont.) and senior Ikechi Ogbonna (Bronx, N.Y.) posted times of 6.99 and 7.02, respectively.

Dartmouth women's track and field won its third straight team title, bettering 15 other schools. The Big Green earned 85 points with Williams second at 77 and Maine third with 63.

Senior Matthan Chatterton-Richmond (Rochester, N.H.) grabbed second place in the triple jump with 37-6 3/4. In the women's open high jump, freshman Tara McNerney (Amherst, Mass.) was the top collegian and third overall, clearing 5-5.

In the women's pole vault, freshman Natalie Todd-Zebell (Portland, Ore.) and sophomore Erika Graham (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) were fourth and fifth as both cleared 11-1.

Maribel Souther, a women's track and field coach at Dartmouth, ran unattached in the mile and won in a time of 5:07.30.

The men's 400 meter run, named in honor of legendary track and field coach Ellie Noyes, went to Diego Pinheiro of UMass-Lowell in 50.34. Noyes, Dartmouth Class of 1932, coached the Big Green from 1932-69.

Runner-up honors went to Dartmouth sophomore Charlie Stoebe (Westport, Conn.) in 50.46, while junior Ricky Cedrone (Stoughton, Mass.) was third in 50.89.

Dartmouth's Mike Carmody (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) turned in a winning performance in the men's mile. The sophomore clocked 4:20.01.

In the men's pole vault, sophomore Derrick Vinklarek (Shiner, Texas) tied for second. Vinklarek and two other competitors all cleared the same height, 15-0 3/4, but the final standings were based on the fewest misses. Also taking second place was sophomore Randy McKnight (West Windsor, N.J.) with 22-11 1/4 in the long jump.

In the shot put -- the final event of the meet -- junior Rob Kerris (Elysburg, Pa.) was the runner-up with 50-8 3/4.

With 14 schools competing, the Big Green men won the college team title for the first time since the scoring was introduced in 2003. Dartmouth earned 114 points, followed by Williams with 82 and Sherbrooke with 73.

Local favorite Russell Brown of Hanover, a sophomore at Stanford University, competed unattached in the men's 3,000 and won with a time of 8:26.40.
